Some spring ducklings.

Though I have been spending time with, photographing and feeding the ducks & pals at King's pond,  and haven't published any photos, I finally decided to get a few pics up that I shot the other day!  I'll put up a couple posts, but thought I'd start out with some of the spring ducklings.

This weird looking pic is of a duckling being grabbed by an adult female duck. She and another female battled all over King's pond, one grabbing the duckling, then the other.  Very dramatic!  Eventually the battle stopped and the duckling swam off  towards one mom- seemingly un-injured - and the females joined their other own groups of ducklings. The image is a bit over-sharpened, but the mums were really moving fast all around the pond.
